Newbury 1
Newbury Farmers' Market runs twice a month on the first and third Sunday. Originally set up by the Council to give local farmers and producers an opportunity to sell their produce direct to the public, most will have been grown or processed within 30 miles of West Berkshire. The Farmers' Market supports the local economy, providing healthy fresh food and reducing food miles - the distance food has travelled from where it is produced. In addition, the market provides an opportunity to find out more about issues such as Genetically Modified foods, land management and organic farming.
